My Mum was an amazing person who was taken from us so early in her life and she's missed very much. Here is a little bit about her. My Mum Carol passed away on the 7th of October 2005, it was less than a month after her 48th birthday. Her 3 children, 3 sisters and partner were by her side which is exactly how she wanted it. Mum had battled so bravely with stomach cancer since the summer of 2004 and smiled right to the end. Mum had 4 children but sadly lost one (James) when he was just 4 months old. The others are me (Charlotte) born in 1979, Caroline (1981) and Stewart (1984). James was born in 1982. She also had 4 sisters who she thought the world of. They are Jean, Lynn, Alison and Christine although Christine was also taken from us suddenly when she was only 23. Nana (Mum's Mum) is still living in the house the family grew up in. She's been through a lot and is a walking miracle (I think anyway). There is also Taya, Mum's only grandchild and her pride and joy! Mum and Taya had an exceptionally close relationship and she even used to say she didn't want anymore grandchildren as she couldn't imagine loving them as much as she loved her little Tay Tay! Mum's family were the most important thing in her life and we were and still are a very close family. Even when Mum moved to England she would visit everyone regularly. All the sisters are very similar and you can see a little of Mum in each one of them. 6th March 2008 - Stewart's first child Gracie was born, making me an auntie! Nana got to meet her just days before she died. November 5th 2008 - Nana was taken from us after a brave battle with breast cancer. Feel like I have lost my second Mum. 19th June 2009 - Stewart's second child (Warren) was born. He would have been Mum's first Grandson. 2nd August 2011 - Stewart's third child Dylan is born. Mum would now have 2 Granddaughter's and 2 Grandson's - perfect!!
